Los Niños is an ad-hoc group of volunteers in Mexico, the United States and Canada who
have joined hands to help economically disadvantaged parents in Zihuatanejo, Mexico
provide an education for their children.  This non-sectarian, non-political group includes
parents, community leaders, merchants, the resident international community and caring
friends of Zihuatanejo who live abroad.

Los Niños is a “no frills” organization that wishes to help provide only those basic
resources that the parents and teachers cannot otherwise obtain on their own.  Our
informal philosophy is “Helping others help themselves”.

The volunteers of
Los Niños provide their time, money and services at no expense to this
self-help effort.  The applications to form a non-profit corporation and obtain tax-exempt
status, and the design of this website, were pro bono contributions from compassionate
professionals who want to help these parents and their children.

Los Niños is a non-profit charitable corporation registered in the State of Oregon.  The U.S.
Internal Revenue Service has granted Los Niños 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as a public
benefit charity, which will make your contributions tax deductible.

(A very special "Thank You" to Tony Flores of Softek Consultants (

all his hard work and creative talent. Without him, this website would not exist.)
